Terms and conditions

Last updated 5 November 2026. These terms are between you and Arayja Paradise Pvt. Ltd., Kuri Village, Kalinchowk, Dolakha, Nepal ("we", "us"). By booking a room with us, on this website, by phone, on WhatsApp or through a booking site, you agree to them.

1. Booking

• When you book on this website, your room is held straight away and you get a booking number. The booking is a request until we confirm it by phone, WhatsApp or email.
• Please give a phone number we can reach. If we can't reach you to confirm, we may release the room.
• The person who books must be at least 18 and is responsible for everyone in the booking.
• Tell us the right number of guests. For bigger groups we hold enough rooms for everyone, based on how many people each room sleeps.

2. Prices and paying

• Room prices are per room, per night. Where a room says "Price on request", we tell you the price before we confirm.
• You pay at the hotel. We accept cash, eSewa, Fonepay, mobile banking, connectIPS and bank transfer (RTGS). Nothing is charged on this website.
• For busy dates, such as Dashain, Tihar, Janai Purnima, New Year and snow weekends, we may ask for an advance to hold your room. We'll tell you the amount and how to pay when we confirm.
• Food, drinks, pick-up and drop, events and other extras are charged separately unless we agreed otherwise when you booked.

3. Changes and cancelling

• To change or cancel, call or message us as early as you can, with your booking number.
• Bookings you haven't paid anything for can be cancelled free of charge.
• If you paid an advance, we'll tell you when we confirm whether it can be refunded or moved to other dates, depending on how close to the date you cancel.
• If you don't arrive and haven't told us, we may give the room to other guests from the next morning.
• If we ever have to cancel your booking, we'll tell you as soon as we can and return anything you paid us for it.

4. Arriving and leaving

• We tell you the check-in and check-out times when we confirm. If you'll arrive late at night, let us know so someone is there to meet you.
• Under Nepal's rules, every adult guest must show a photo ID when checking in: a citizenship card, driving licence or national ID for Nepali guests, and a passport for foreign guests.
• Early check-in and late check-out depend on the room being free. Ask us.

5. During your stay

• Please look after the room and the hotel. If something is damaged on purpose or through carelessness, we may charge the cost of repair.
• Keep noise down late at night, out of respect for other guests and the village.
• Only fire in the campfire area, and only when our staff have lit it. No candles, heaters or cooking in the rooms unless we provide them.
• Pets are welcome if you tell us when you book. You're responsible for your pet and anything it damages.
• Children must be looked after by an adult at all times, especially outside in snow and near the road.
• We can ask anyone who puts people or the hotel at risk, or who breaks the law, to leave without a refund.

6. Pick-up, food and events

• Pick-up and drop is arranged on request. We agree the place, time and price with you before the trip.
• Group meals, BBQ, live music and use of the hall are booked and priced separately. Tell us what you need when you book.
• If you have a food allergy or a special diet, tell us before you arrive.

7. Mountain conditions

• Kuri is at about 3,450 m. Nights are cold all year, and from December to February there is often snow.
• Snow, fog, landslides and road works can slow or close the road from Charikot, and can stop the cable car to the temple. These are outside our control. If they stop you reaching us, call us and we'll do our best to move your booking to other dates.
• Altitude affects some people. Take it easy on the first day, drink water, and tell us if you feel unwell.
• Walking up to Kalinchowk Bhagwati, especially on snow and ice, is at your own risk. Wear warm layers and shoes with grip.
• Please follow the conservation area and temple rules. Our mountain rules and safety guide explains them.

8. Responsibility

• Please keep money, phones and other valuables with you or locked in your room. We aren't responsible for things lost or stolen unless it was our fault.
• Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Nepal's consumer protection law.

9. Booking sites

If you book through Booking.com, Agoda or another booking site, that site's own payment and cancellation terms apply to the booking, together with sections 4 to 8 above for your stay with us.

10. This website

• We try to keep prices, photos and details on this website correct, but they can change. The price and details we give you when we confirm are the ones that count.
• The landscape photos show Kuri and Kalinchowk and are used under their Creative Commons licences. The photographers are named in the footer. They don't show the inside of the hotel.
• How we use the details you give us is explained in our privacy policy.

11. Law and changes

• These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
• We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you booked applies to your booking.
